Damper butterfly valve or what we call Ventilation butterfly valve is mainly used in air conditioning system for industrial blast furnace gas power generation, metallurgy and mining, steel making, the medium is air or flue gas. The application location is on the main duct of the ventilation system or smoke exhaust system, so the valve size normally will be large.

The main function of the damper is to adjust the flow rate, the requirements for the seal are not high, and a certain amount of leakage is allowed. Generally, external power is required to drive, such as electric or pneumatic methods.

The structure of the damfer valve is simple, and only consists of a centerline butterfly plate and a valve stem. Due to the large gap between the butterfly plate and the valve body, there is enough expansion space, so it can effectively prevent the thermal expansion and contraction caused by the temperature change during use, and there will not occur the disc stuck situation .
